How does Rutgers accept transcripts? ›

Transcripts required for review can be uploaded with the application or mailed to Rutgers directly from your school.

*D is not a valid grade for most of the graduate programs. Please note that Rutgers does not give out "minus" grades (such as "A-" or "B-") except within the Law School. A grade of C or better is usually required for Major or Minor courses, while General Requirement courses must only be passed with a D or better.

Requests for official transcripts for all current and former students will be processed in the order received. Allow ten (10) days for release.

There is only one Rutgers supplemental essay. Rutgers requires one essay of 3800 characters including spaces (around 500 words). This essay should address one of four topics. Your Rutgers application essay can also be on a topic of your choosing.
